I should probably jump on some more volunteering opportunities. If I were slightly older I'd be able to volunteer at Science World, which is a 2-3 hour shift once a week. Until then, I'll have to find some other initiatives.
One of my funniest memories volunteering was last year when I did a donut sale with this youth foundation an elementary school classmate introduced me to. At one point some student economist bought a donut and started talking to us about investing. He told us to invest in a farm in the tropics in case everything collapses, then let us in on his ideas on how the Ukraine war's a conspiracy or something. After that he told us his activist friends ostracized him for saying that kinda stuff. That was real funny cos we were (very obviously) a bunch of middle schoolers and freshmen. Did he think we had money for investing in Seychellois cassava root farms? The girl who introduced me to the foundation (think she was some kind of spokesperson?) entertained his advice and told him she was really into agriculture, and he started offering fistbumps to all of us.
Anyone watching the Eurocup? Germany's 100% gonna destroy Switzerland tomorrow. The other one looks pretty evenly matched - I'm not real familiar with the Hungarian team but I know Scotland's shit, so they'll probably win.
